About Us
What is DPC ?
Direct Primary care, or DPC, is a model that reclaims the patient-doctor relationship. It means that you pay your doctor directly in the form of a monthly membership fee. Your doctor works for you, not your
insurance company. By
doing this, you get more personalized care, which is directed by you and your doctor, rather than your insurance company. You get easier access to your doctor, with unlimited visits a month, that are not constrained by time
limits.
This saves you time and money.

Concierge medicine typically bills insurance for each visit, in addition to a membership fee. Their fees may cost hundreds to thousands of dollars. The care provided is still directed by insurance companies. DPC does not bill insurance
therefore medical care is determined by the doctor and the patient.
Will I still need health insurance?
DPC is not insurance, and although you may be able to get all or most of your healthcare needs met by your primary care physician, health insurance is still recommended in case of unexpected or catastrophic medical expenses, such as
hospitalization or major surgery. A high-deductible health insurance plan or health sharing insurance products are possible sources for catastrophic coverage. We do not bill insurance.
What if I’m healthy?
At Virginia Beach Direct Primary Care, we strive to maintain your excellent health through preventative care. When a healthy person has a health concern, they have to wait a while for an appointment, take time off work and then pay a
co-pay. At Virginia Beach Direct Primary Care, we can offer communication via text, phone or email to determine if taking time off is truly necessary.
What about kids?
Virginia Beach Direct Primary Care is currently accepting children between the ages of 5 and 18.
